100% cotton, woven in Japan


A jacket with character demands a fabric with character. Beautiful from afar and up close, we sourced this fabric with an authentic and subtly irregular look in Japan, from Kawagoshi Masa, a weaver with over 70 years of experience. They are masters of creating textured fabrics with a vintage look, as only the Japanese can do so well. It's the charm of the old, in a way.

This cotton is thick (444g/m²), dense, and highly durable thanks to its Jungle Cloth weave. As a fun fact, this is the same weave used in the original Deck jackets. To the touch, you can feel that it's a reliable fabric built to last. The density of this weave provides insulation from the cold and wind, and gives the piece a slight natural protection against rain.

To protect you from the cold, we've padded this jacket with Climashield Apex, the most high-performing synthetic insulation on the market. With a weight of 100g/m², it provides comforting and cozy warmth that won't overwhelm you, as it is highly breathable—no sauna effect here! We love Climashield because it offers an excellent balance of warmth, thickness, and breathability for urban use, and we bet you'll love it as much as we do once you've tried it.

Additionally, if you get caught in a downpour, there's no need to worry: thanks to its continuous filaments and Aquaban technology, the insulation retains its properties even when wet and regains all its loft once dry.
