The prices are high (always above $300) but the quality is there. The pieces will subtly fade and are made to last. Production is Japanese and based on old looms to guarantee maximum quality. For the rest of the collection, it's better to wait for the sales.
In terms of cuts, those of the sleeved pieces are fitted and short, while those of the jeans are straight (leg opening of 20.3 cm in size 31/32) or slim (17.8 cm in the same size).
As for the materials, we find cotton and chambray for the shirts. The leather of the biker jackets is very pretty (vegetable tanned, semi-aniline finish). The denim fabrics are selvedges, unsanforized and thick (14.5 or 20 oz).
The Flat Head pays great attention to the product and guarantees very high quality. Although it is only known through word of mouth, this brand is undoubtedly one of the top-of-the-range Japanese jeans.
The Flat Head is a Japanese brand founded in 1996 by Masayoshi Kobayashi . It's a declaration of love to the 50s and particularly to vintage jeans.
The collection consists of jeans, of course, but also t-shirts, shirts, chinos, leather jackets and some accessories.
All the pieces, in a vintage casual style , are designed to develop a patina over time.
In terms of quality, we are 100% selvedge! The shirts have fine, even French seams, reinforcement swallows, and solid bar tacks while the jeans have copper rivets, a leather patch, and a chain stitch hem.
