Our opinion
Pendleton's history is rich and authentic. It is one of those brands that mark Americana, notably with Woolrich and Filson. The products are still of good quality today and the materials are still in the spotlight. The brand sources its supplies from local players in the wool industry. If everything was once made in the United States, we note that most products are today made abroad. In fact, we can read the word “imported” on three of these product sheets taken as an example: - https://www.pendleton-usa.com/product/mens-plaid-board-shirt/50000.html?dwvar_50000_color=32408&cgid=M120#start=1&cgid=M120 - https://www.pendleton-usa.com/product/mens-glacier-stripe-sherpa-lined-shirt-jacket/51072.html?dwvar_51072_color=79001&dwvar_51072_fit=REGULAR&cgid=M330#start=1&cgid=M330 - https://www.pendleton-usa.com/product/mens-siskiyou-shetland-cardigan/51045.html?dwvar_51045_color=74037&dwvar_51045_fit=REGULAR&cgid=M140#start=1&cgid=M140 It seems that only a portion of Native American patterned blankets are still made in the United States. They are located here: https://www.pendleton-usa.com/search/?q=made%20in%20USA&sz=120 Obviously, these are the products that interest us the most. The brand does not specify where the other products are made. We would like to point out that many Pendleton products can be found in thrift stores where it is possible to get your hands on the brand's iconic overshirts such as the Plaid Shirt or Board Shirt.
The history of the brand Pendleton

Pendleton is an American brand emblematic of Americana. There are clothes for men and women.

History: In 1863, Thomas Kay, an English immigrant, set up his wool spinning mill in Oregon. With the help of his daughter, he expanded the family business and, in 1893, bought the spinning mill in the town of Pendleton, where he settled.

In 1898, Frannie's three sons took over. Until then, the family's business had been spinning and weaving wool, but in 1899, the first finished Pendleton products were produced. And in 1909, it was the turn of products created with the indigenous community called Navajo. With Pendleton's modern machines, Native American patterns appear even more precise. Pendleton will never stop collaborating with the Navajos.
