Grenson is a very good mid-range shoe brand. The G:One line offers dressy, quality-made models, keeping a relatively round shape, characteristic of English-style shoes.
There are also more rootsy models, sewn with a triple sole, similar to Norwegian stitching, to add even more strength, insulation and waterproofing to the sole.
Grenson has therefore remained, for 150 years, an essential gateway to the world of solid English shoes with generous perforations!
Be careful, however, with other ranges from Grenson which are made in India and whose quality will not necessarily be there.This English shoe brand was founded in 1866 by William Green. At a very young age, he learned the trade with his mother, a shoe-making worker, in Rushden in Northampshire .
In 1866 he began working for himself, becoming a pioneer of Goodyear assembly in the United Kingdom. In 1895, Green set up his factory in Rushden, his company was then called William Green & Son, which later became Grenson.
