Our opinion
Daiki Suzuki is a very creative man and his pieces reflect it. The style isn't for everyone. It is often very marked. We think of the patchworks that we find as a leitmotif throughout the collections and of the outerwear that is both technical and the workwear aesthetic that does not go unnoticed. As iconic pieces, we find unstructured blazers and work jackets (the Bedford Jacket for example, or the Logger), parkas, pants with pockets (cargo pants in particular) and chambray shirts. Engineered Garments is manufactured in the United States (on occasion in Canada) and the prices charged are commensurate with the quality of the pieces, their original aesthetic and the materials used. A perfect brand to take your style further. Provided of course that you appreciate workwear, Americana with a touch of techwear.
The history of the brand Engineered Garments

Engineered Garments is an American ready-to-wear brand created by Daiki Suzuki in 2002. If it is based in New York and is interested in American style, we cannot deny the Japanese influence instilled by its creator.

To understand the essence of this brand, you must read W. David Marx's book, Ametora: How Japan Saved American Style. It tells how the Japanese, fascinated by Americana following the GI occupation on their soil, took control of their clothing style.

Daiki Suzuki is passionate about outdoor activities, such as fishing, camping or cycling, and this is reflected in its brand, which combines comfort with technical materials and assertive style.

Distributed all over the world (and particularly in Japan and America), the brand can also be found online at Mr Porter , End Clothing and Kafka Mercantile .
