Causse

Our opinion

The factory produces 25,000 pairs of gloves each year, selecting the finest skins: lamb, peccary 2 , deer, python, ostrich.

The company's know-how has been passed down from generation to generation for more than 120 years, and some of the factory's tools have even been there since 1892!

The house produces gloves for men and women, with remarkable quality and sumptuous materials . The seams are extremely strong and are made in saddle stitch by machine or by hand.

Above all, the whole thing is elegant, discreet, but exudes excellence. Certainly among the most high-end gloves made in France , no wonder prices reach peaks for rare materials or hand-sewn pieces.

However, here we are faced with true luxury craftsmanship with pieces that are impeccable in every way. More than an accessory to keep you warm, Causse gloves are intended to be a real piece of hand jewelry.

The history of the brand Causse

Here we enter the ultra-luxury of glove making. Founded in 1892 in Millau by 3 brothers ; Henri, Jules and Paul Causse, the house quickly became recognized for its unique know-how. Jules and Henri will be recruited in the USA thanks to their reputation.

When it grew in the 1950s, the brand innovated by filing patents on high-tech gloves, which led to its collaboration with Michelin companies for around forty years.

In the 1990s, the house continued to prosper, successively taking over the Millau glove makers Niel and Norval. The company has remained family-run and has been passed down through 4 generations, receiving the Living Heritage Company (EPV) label for its remarkable know-how.

The first store in Paris opened in 2007 and in 2012, the Causse glove shop was bought by Chanel . From now on, it is under white label that it produces the gloves for the latter as well as that of Louis Vuitton.

For the record, the Causse workshops are close to those of Maison Fabre .
