2021 update
At Bexley, the upper is 100% leather and the shoes are Blake stitched.
However, the quality is uneven. Some pairs feature more pleated leathers than others. Others, on the contrary, are of more acceptable quality.
The brand uses the skins it purchases as much as possible, to reduce waste and offset costs. Hence these differences in quality that we can see between several models.
The styles are uneven. Where some pairs have classic and correctly balanced shapes, others are sometimes too sharp, sometimes too visually charged.
At €149 per pair of dress shoes (price increasing, over the last 10 years, the price has gone from €129 to €139 then €149), there is some sorting to be done . You may come across interesting pairs, like others much less so. Be vigilant, whether upon receipt of an online order, or during a fitting in store.
Please note: the brand has a “collection purposes” category on its site where prices are generally around €100. At this price, you get what you pay for.
Finally: for a bit more than €149, you can upgrade to the higher range, by going to Orban's or Meermin for example.
What is our opinion on Bexley clothing? (sweaters, shirts, pants, etc.)
- Prices are affordable and there are few synthetic materials. This is a good thing.
- The styles are very classic, which is not necessarily a bad thing. It's up to you to see what you like and speak to you in the collection.
- The cuts are generally quite generous.
--> Overall, the brand's clothing is decent . As with shoes, there is a bit of sorting to do.
Bexley is a French shoe brand founded in 1985 by Eric Botton .
Originally solely dedicated to the making and sale of shoes, the brand now offers a complete range of classic men's wardrobe clothing (sweaters, shirts, coats, pants, etc.)
The Bexley offering is best known for its classically inspired entry-level leather shoes .
The offer is interesting with the first pair at €149 and the second pair at €99 stands out from other brands.
