Asket

Our opinion
A brand that recalls Maison Standards at its beginnings, but which takes the concept even further: very well priced basics, a concern for ethics and above all, exemplary transparency and traceability, from manufacturing to production. raw material. The promise is kept: the parts are always of high quality at very competitive prices, manufactured in well-documented workshops, traceability goes far and is constantly improving... And the brand will always favor solidity in its design choices. (Even if it means depriving yourself of certain design possibilities or mixtures of materials) This is not a brand from which you should expect any creative bias, nor even an ounce of originality: this is not only not its objective, but it would even go against the ambition of the brand, which is to make the most versatile and timeless pieces possible. Nor even a brand from which you should expect purist details or technical accessory elements (you won't have selvedge denim for example). On the other hand, if you need a very simple basic, without having to ask yourself any questions either ethically or in terms of quality, all with reasonable prices, go for it without hesitation.
The history of the brand Asket

Asket is a Swedish label founded in 2015 by August Bard Bringéus and Jakob Dworsky, whose offering is based around a simple concept: very simple and timeless basics, with great value for money, with great concern for ethics and transparency.

For each product, each manufacturer, weaver, spinner and even raw material producer is traced and presented. Or almost: in rare cases where the information is not yet available for the brand, it is noted that the search for traceability is underway for some more production details, such as the origin of the raw material, a button, a ribbing...

The brand produces all kinds of basics, from boxers to t-shirts, including hoodies and cashmere sweaters, in sober, unadorned colors.

The brand aims to dress a large number of body types: three length variations for each top (short, standard and long) are offered for each of the classic sizes (from S to XL). Trousers benefit from a similar system.

PS: The brand is often confused by our readers with "Arket" with an "R", which is a subsidiary of the H&M group having launched a fairly similar concept of premium basics.
