Many of you noticed this cardigan, first revealed in our Autumn–Winter lookbook, and it’s now available.

The Salvini wraps you in cozy, comforting warmth all season long, thanks to its luxurious Italian yarn and rare composition: 43% baby alpaca for a fluffy, soft texture, 38% cotton for structure, and 19% extra-fine merino wool for added smoothness.

Its heathered greige color subtly sets you apart and makes it easy to pair with any piece in your wardrobe.

The Softness of Italian Luxury

We wanted to wrap you in the rustic charm of brushed wool — but with a knit that’s pleasant to wear, without the itchiness often found in this type of material.

So we went searching and found a rare fiber blend:

  • 43% baby alpaca, much softer than ordinary alpaca, giving the knit its distinctive look, exceptional softness, and, above all, its unique warmth.
  • 19% extra-fine merino wool adds structure to the sweater without compromising the baby alpaca’s softness.
  • 38% cotton brings stability, breathability, and long-lasting durability.

To achieve this, we turned to an expert in combining noble fibers: Sinfonia Filati, a particularly creative Italian spinning mill.

And for the finishing touch, we relied on Italian knitter Visconti, who uses a vintage brushing machine to gently lift and tease the fibers after a wash that stabilizes and softens the knit — creating that beautifully fluffy, soft texture.

A balanced fit

Neither too loose nor too tight, this cardigan has a slightly straight cut — just enough to highlight your shape and give structure to your silhouette. Its knit naturally provides flexibility and stretch, for optimal comfort.

A distinctive yet easy-to-wear color

If this cardigan caught your eye, it’s probably thanks to its soft, understated, yet uncommon shade. Grey, beige, and brown yarns are blended in the knit to create this natural greige hue — subtle and full of depth.

Being neutral, it works beautifully as a transition between light and dark tones (for instance, a white shirt and khaki trousers). It also fits perfectly within a range of browns or a tonal grey look (light grey T-shirt, charcoal pants, black shoes).
