A natural fibre particularly prized for warm weather, linen is valued for its lightness and breathability. Its naturally irregular texture gives linen fabrics a distinctive depth and character. It is also an environmentally friendly fibre that requires little water to grow, with France being the world’s leading producer.
Linen’s natural tendency to crease is an integral part of its charm: on a high-quality fabric like the ones we use, it forms soft, harmonious folds that contribute to its lively, organic character.
Summer is, of course, when linen truly comes into its own. We use it on its own or blended with cotton in shirts, T-shirts, trousers and lightweight suits for summer weddings.
In heavier weights, linen also works well for transitional-season wardrobes thanks to its thermoregulating properties.
