Our Milo V2 overshirt and its 2 new colors: tobacco and khaki (presented by Benoît)
Our Milo overshirt is one of our absolute bestsellers: you love this piece. And rightly so.
Indeed, it is one of the most versatile midlayers there is — and it is an outdoor clothing and midlayer enthusiast who is writing these lines — that you can take everywhere, for all occasions.
Whether it's for a trip on a slightly too air-conditioned train, a cool autumn evening, or a weekend with uncertain weather, it's an addictive garment that you'll reach for almost automatically.
In addition to its undeniable thermal regulation qualities, the Milo can be worn with a wide variety of outfits.
But we didn't want to rest on our laurels! In fact, in recent months, we've been working on a few improvements. But first, I'd like to go back to what makes the Milo so comfortable...
Comfort tip #1: boiled wool
I remind you that technically, the Milo is made of a mesh — very tight — and not a fabric. And that changes everything! This is what gives it its pleasant mechanical stretch , like a knitted sweater in which you can move rather than a suit fabric.
Comfort tip #2: the famous organic cotton lining
Inside, there is a very, very soft organic cotton jersey lining. Here too, the choice of jersey rather than a classic lining is crucial: it follows the mechanical stretch of boiled wool and allows full movement.
And most importantly, it feels incredibly soft next to the skin . So you can wear this Milo with a t-shirt, and you'll notice how nice this fabric feels when it touches your forearms.
So let's see what we changed... The watchword was to have purer and more structured lines.
An extremely soft cotton jersey lining
A version 2.0
As I said, even though you love this piece, I wanted to refine it even more . You are becoming more and more demanding about the quality of your clothes, your eye has become sharper, mine too, and so I wanted to push the standards even further with the Milo.
So here are the changes we made.
First, we removed unnecessary layers of fabric in certain places: the collar, the pocket flaps, and the capuchin tabs on the forearms.
We have revised the collar, by enlarging it , and doubling it, in order to improve its fall, more clean. There is only one thickness of mesh compared to two previously, which helps to give it a much better hold.

Also, the back of the collar is now doubled (visible on the left)
We also enlarged the pockets , to give them more presence and presence.
We can clearly see the difference here! V2 is on the left as you may have guessed
The throat has also been widened , to have proportions consistent with the rest of the overshirt.
Finally, the flaps have also had their little facelift, by removing a layer of boiled wool, so that they sit more harmoniously.

The Novare jean, high waist and wide cut (presented by David)
Presenting these jeans fills me with joy.
Ever since I heard about it, I've been waiting to try it. Ever since I tried it, I've been wanting to tell you about it.
Introducing the Novare, our first high-waisted, wide-leg jean.
A unique and comfortable cut that enhances your style
This is a raw jean, like you've seen plenty of before.
Its special feature is its cut. These jeans are:
Now you might be wondering: “what’s the difference with the straight cut of the Renji jeans?”
Answer: The Novare is wider and taller than the Renji.
To speak in figures, on a size 32:
- Front fork (including belt) Renji: 29cm, and Novare: 33cm
- Renji thigh width : 33cm, and Novare: 34cm
- Renji leg opening : 20cm, and Novare: 22.6cm
The result? A very comfortable pair of jeans that sits above the hips, cut more than ever for people with well-muscled thighs and calves (big up to our national Michel) as well as for lovers of generous volumes. Or quite simply anyone who wants to experience the pleasure of putting on a pair of jeans in which you really feel good , and this from the first time you wear them.
Comfort galore!
With a 22.6cm leg opening in size 32, the Novare is officially the widest pants ever released in the BonneGueule collection. This is another victory for the SPCDB (the Union of Supporters of the Straight Cut at BonneGueule) of which I am a fervent member! 🥳
Loose jeans are especially interesting to balance out outfits with volume on top too. PS: this jacket comes out on October 26th ;)
Seeing this new cut in our collection delights me, especially since it is difficult to find jeans with a similar volume elsewhere. It quickly becomes quite expensive or with fabrics that are really not crazy.
Let’s talk about the fabric of these jeans.
15oz Italian selvedge denim
A beautiful volume only makes sense with a beautiful material.
That's why we chose a selvedge canvas from Candiani here . This Italian supplier is well known to us because we have been using its canvases since 2017 on our Alberto jeans.
An Italian selvedge canvas as we like them: dense and with slight roughness. PS: his shoes are also coming out on October 26th ;)
We also produced a video report at Candiani which you can watch here:
This is a 15oz canvas. It's a pretty generous weight that has one big advantage: it allows the jeans to hang cleanly.
As I explain in our guide to straight cut , baggy pants can be intimidating because you get the feeling that the garment is “floating” around you, that it doesn’t “fit” your leg properly.
This feeling is mitigated here by the weight of this denim which gives the jeans some support. So, even if you have fairly thin legs, the Novare falls straight and structures your silhouette.
Note the clean fit of the jeans on our model Antoine, who doesn't have very voluminous legs. So the jeans don't look too baggy on him!
