Paraboot

Our opinion
Paraboot shoes are worth their reputation: they are solid. For the majority of models, it is Goodyear and Norwegian stitched. We sometimes find blake, less solid but still much more resistant than heat-sealed shoes. Although a little less elegant, the rubber soles are comfortable. We appreciate the presence of models in cordovan which is still quite rarely offered today. In terms of design, some appreciate the heavy and robust side of the pieces. Others will find it too clumsy. We will not recommend their “business” pieces with a more refined design: you will find better elsewhere. In short, the quality/price ratio is not the best for this price range, but it remains quite correct.
The history of the brand Paraboot

Paraboot is a French high-end shoe brand founded by Rémy-Alexis Richard in 1908, when the latter began designing shoes in Paris. She has since resided in Isère.

Still in the family fold, Paraboot is known for having imported the idea of making rubber soles to Europe. She also decided to only do sewing. The brand is best known for its iconic Michael model, which dates from 1945.

Paraboot is an internationally established brand. In addition to the thirty own stores around the world, you will find around a hundred points of sale distributing Paraboot in France.

Even today, the majority of parts are made in France.
